Driver's Ministry

Our goal
The driver's ministry has the essential task of transporting our most valuable commodity - our children. Everyone knows about all the wonderful activities/trips/retreats that our youth participate in regularly. An important part of all those activities is transportation of participants safely.

Long Term goal
To be able to provide rides for every event in the church.

Short Term goals
To provide transportation for all retreats and Friday activities.

Why I should serve here
If I would like to serve but don’t always have the time to commit to a weekly service.

Our Target Group
Adults with a good driving records.

What are different services I can choose from and what is required of me to serve in either?
The driver's ministry is looking for safe drivers to volunteer to drive youth to/from various activities and events, such as:

• Friday night activities: Friday nights, 7:30 - 10:30 p.m.
• Retreats: seasonal, occur in four-week stretches in December and March/April; looking for drivers to drop them off at the retreat center on Friday nights and another group to pick them up on Sunday mornings.
• Various events: occur sporadically throughout the year

Drivers need to have a clean driving record - no traffic violations in the last 3 years - and be comfortable driving large vehicles. We also need volunteers that have a CDL (commercial driving license). If anyone is interested in acquiring a CDL, please let us know and we can help you get one.
